Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for financial business decisions of Entergy Arkansas (EAL), including overseeing, managing, communicating, reporting and providing guidance regarding financial and regulatory strategies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop financial plans and strategies – ensure accuracy of financial plans and inputs, optimize spending and regulatory inputs, drive accountability for financial performance, and communicate results to varying groups and levels of management.
  • Develop and execute regulatory strategies – partner with Regulatory Affairs in the developing strategies and identifying new regulatory recovery mechanisms, ensure accuracy of regulatory filings, respond to and review discovery requests, develop and support testimony, serve as financial witness.
  • Support EAL’s strategies and initiatives – support development of business plans, provide input on all strategic decisions of EAL.
  • Ensure and report financial accuracy – ensure financial statements and disclosures are accurate, understand drivers of actual financial results, provide certifications to CFO, VP FBP and EAL CEO, coordinate accounting treatment of regulatory outcomes, support Investor Relations.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position
Requires a college or university degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent work experience). Graduate degree (MBA or Masters in Finance or Accounting) highly desirable.

Minimum experience required of the position
7+ years, with financial leadership roles highly desired

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Interpersonal / leadership skills and ability to communicate externally and at all levels of the organization. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation. Proficiency in PC. Windows environment and ability to work with budget systems and financial models. Knowledge of GAAP, FERC and regulatory accounting.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
CFA or CPA desirable
