Job Description
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE
The Director will be responsible for leading the team in global paid marketing strategy, developing, and executing consumer experiences across platforms and digital campaign touchpoints to drive awareness and purchase intent via La Mer brand equity.
Accountabilities
  • Remain relentlessly up to date on emerging and future trends across all relevant industries to identify and grow business opportunities.
  • Develop talent and capabilities of the junior Digital team.
  • Continuously improve work processes and asset creation to support evolving market and platform needs. Level up regional support via enhanced GTM toolkits and collaboration tools.
  • Drive the global paid media strategy and content approach and lead its implementation in markets in collaboration with regional leads.
  • Lead partnership with Creative, Online, Consumer Engagement, Product Marketing, Regional Teams, Corporate Marketing, and outside agencies to ensure smooth campaign execution and engaging consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with Retail and Online counterparts for full-funnel planning to drive increased traffic for media value, aligning marketing calendars and ensuring plan sufficiency.
  • Support team and ED in managing costs across agencies and technology platform spend.
  • Develop and deploy consumer-first, best-in-class campaigns, and experiences across digital platforms to build reputation, create brand/product demand, enable sales and gain market intelligence.
PAID MEDIA
  • Drive brand’s media strategy as well as guidelines for each campaign and in budget guidelines, follow-up, and work to optimize on going with the regions.
  • Lead annual Paid Media Spend Analysis and Budget Guidelines, in partnership with Online.
  • Define and share best practices by exploring new capabilities, approaches and platforms via test and learns.
  • Adopt a measurement/testing mentality partnering with agencies and internal teams to create benchmarks and optimize campaigns for performance.
  • Drive continuous innovation to maintain position and deliver best-in-class media practices, upskilling partners across Creative and the regions.
  • Enable fluid on-the-go budget spend framework informed by real time campaign performance analysis that minimizes ineffective spend and maximizes ROI.
  • Allocate and assign budget investment priorities based upon key departmental objectives.
CONTENT
  • Ensure synergies are being created between channels to drive clarity of the total campaign output and deliver an omnichannel consumer first launch through the whole campaign funnel.
  • Consolidate the product launch books to ensure messaging are aligned before cascade to the regions.
  • Participate in accelerating Content and digital Innovation for the brand through key projects.
  • Create and continuously evolve our LM brand content strategy – aspirational and product advocacy building, not limited to paid.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Digital Champion
  • The ability to bring new and fresh thinking to help La Mer drive growth in relevant new channels – broad based thinker, global exposure and insights
  • Skincare experience and international experience a plus
  • 8+ years related experience.
  • Must be accountable and organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects
  • Experience in leading, managing and developing teams
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication and excellent computer skills
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, highly detailed-oriented with unprompted follow-through.
  • Demonstrates ownership of programs; embracing both big picture objectives and follow-through on details and capacity to accompany the regions in implementation
  • Must possess the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional and affiliate teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Being capable of, and possessing the leadership skills to partner with internal and external resources to help the brand drive content expansion and optimization as well as new ways to bring our digital-first mentality to the brand
  • Experienced in managing a paid media budget at a market level
  • Luxury goods sensibility
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $202,100. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
