Title: Director of Brand Media

Overview
As the Director of Brand Media, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's global brand media strategy to drive brand awareness, perception, and affinity. You will lead a team of media professionals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create impactful brand campaigns that resonate with target audiences. With a focus on brand storytelling and creative execution, you will oversee media planning, buying, and optimization to maximize the reach and impact of brand messaging across various channels. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of brand marketing and media landscape.
What You’ll Do
  • Oversee the production process for brand media assets, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Establish performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and identify training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with media agencies and vendors to develop media plans that maximize brand exposure and drive engagement.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback to ensure brand integrity and differentiation in all media campaigns.
  • Analyze media performance data, provide insights, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Creative Execution and Brand Storytelling:
  • Budget Management:
  • Continuously monitor brand media campaigns, conduct A/B testing, and iterate to enhance performance and impact.
  • Monitor media market trends, negotiate media rates, and optimize media investments to achieve desired brand outcomes.
  • Develop, plan and execute the company's global brand media strategy, aligning it with the overall brand objectives and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate on brand storytelling, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across all media touchpoints.
  • Lead and mentor a team of brand media professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Monitor brand media performance against budget targets and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align brand media efforts with overall marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with other marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and integrated campaigns across channels.
  • Develop comprehensive brand media plans, considering various channels (e.g., TV, radio, print, digital, social media) and formats, and aligning KPIs and measurement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and audience segmentation to enhance media targeting and optimize media spending.
  • Media Planning and Buying:
  • Conduct market research, consumer insights, and competitive analysis to identify media opportunities that reach target audience segments.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate brand media performance, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Brand Media Strategy:
  • Manage brand media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and optimization of resources.
  • Develop cross-channel media strategies and coordinate media plans to maximize brand impact and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with strategy marketing team to define key brand messaging, positioning, and media objectives, as well as creative partners to ensure asset developments support media and channel best practices.
  • Cross-Channel Integration:
  • Develop budget forecasts, track spending, and provide regular budget reports to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the creative team to develop compelling and impactful brand messaging and creative assets.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Establish brand media measurement frameworks, KPIs, and reporting methodologies to evaluate media effectiveness and ROI.
  • Oversee media planning and buying processes, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience reach.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of brand marketing principles, storytelling techniques, and creative execution.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand media strategies across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Proficiency in media analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, media planning, and buying, with a focus on strategic leadership roles.

Estimate Salary Range: $150,000-200,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
