Job Description
Summary


The Social Media Manager is responsible for the daily posting, monitoring, and engaging with our community on all @ELEMIS branded platforms. They are responsible for providing content aggregation, ideation, and management of the content calendar for social media on a consistent basis. They are responsible with sourcing, vetting, briefing, and managing relationships of content creators on an on-going basis. This role will also own social media reporting, developing data-driven reports for team and leadership analysis. They will be an expert in social media content, often creating content for owned channels as well. This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of Marketing, Education, and Customer Care. The Social Media Manager will foster one-to-one relationships across ELEMIS social media handles and have experience in customer retention and relationship development, with an understanding of skincare and beauty and a proven track record for crafting and executing content across a number of social media channels.


This person will be tasked with bringing the ELEMIS brand to life and creatively showcasing what makes ELEMIS special, with a particular emphasis on growing community size and engagements. They will serve as the knowledgeable beauty confidant to nurture and grow our community of advocates for our brand fans and influencers alike.


Essential Responsibilities


Role Responsibilities:


  • Identify brand partners and then deliver on the execution of the social and content areas of a brand partnership.
  • Assist in the development of social strategies to support new launches and execute brand visions for consistent messaging worldwide.
  • Complete ownership of the content calendar, including crafting and implementing effective social media marketing techniques to reach and engage current customers and potential customers.
  • Execute social media publishing and content ideas on all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads and Pinterest, as well as assisting with content ideation and creation. Explore and engage with emerging social channels as appropriate.
  • Regularly share consumer social comments and insights internally and work collaboratively with NPD, marketing, and creative to inform future efforts.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors (Dash Hudson, Emplifi, etc)
  • Brief and manage both internal (creative, paid, internal content) and external partners (contracted content creators, brand partners) to develop high-quality content across platforms.
  • Partner closely with PR/influencer team, identifying opportunities and helping to develop briefs and source creators.
  • Research and keep up to date on social media trends, tactics, and social initiatives of our competitors.
  • Manage social media intern.
  • Partner with Social Media Community Coordinator to ensure questions, comments and related opportunities are handled in a timely manner. Partner with customer service to address any consumer product and order issues.
  • Spearhead weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual social media reporting, analyzing insights and next steps for social optimization.
  • Implement a best-in-class content management strategy, engaging with internal and external content creators across platforms and ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with the aesthetic and style of the brand.
  • Support the identification of influential brand ambassadors to promote the ELEMIS brand on a global scale.
  • Engage daily with the ELEMIS community on UGC.

Qualifications & Characteristics


  • A data-driven approach to everything you do and an ability to multi-task with competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • 3+ years in a social media related position at a related company.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills including managing deadlines, objectives, delivering analysis and recommendations.
  • An inventive problem solver, with a high level of accountability.
  • Knowledge of content and social media analytics, tracking and publishing/analytic tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Dash Hudson, Emplifi, etc).
  • Deep understanding of, and proficiency in, all social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube).
  • Must have knowledge of viral social media trends, pop culture and the beauty space.
  • Graphic design and video/photo editing experience a plus.
  • Creative thinker who can brainstorm innovative ideas with a passion for learning and understanding of what makes people follow and engage on social media.
  • Has an “eye” for design, lighting, quality, and aesthetics.
  • Experience building and executing social media marketing campaigns and calendars.
  • A natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in Beauty/Fashion or related field within Social Media.
  • Strategic and creative mindset, understanding the desired ROI and being able to maximize resources to drive the highest impact.
