  • Not currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree program in a digital marketing related field.
  • High school degree, GED equivalent, or practical experience.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant digital marketing experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and within a team framework.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and commitment to learning new skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, self-motivated, positive attitude, and excellent customer service capabilities.
  • Experience thinking critically and excellent problem solving capabilities.
  • Experience using Google Workspace or a similar suite of productivity tools.
  • Ability to navigate multiple ambiguous tasks and competing priorities while finding suitable solutions and seeking help/advice where appropriate.
About The Job
As a Digital Marketing apprentice at Google, you will develop the skills you need to pursue an entry-level career in digital marketing.
You will help define, design, and implement campaigns across a variety of digital platforms. You will learn how to support product marketing strategy, understand users, turn them into a loyal consumer base, shape the voice of the Google brand, or even design and execute digital marketing campaigns for the biggest brand marketers in the world. You will get exposure to different Google products, including consumer (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) and business products (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Analytics). You may interact directly with external clients and manage accounts.
The apprenticeship will begin on September 11, 2023 with a 3-week virtual onboarding experience, followed by an immersive 6-week virtual bootcamp with Google's apprenticeship partner, Multiverse, to build a foundational understanding of the profession. Apprentices will then join a Google team to train on-the-job, while continuing to engage in track-specific learnings and career workshops throughout the program. The program may include rotations on 2 teams, and you will be supported day-to-day by a manager for each of them. As a part of the program you’ll receive holistic career readiness support, and towards the end of the program will have the time and space to prepare for your next endeavor.
A typical week in the life of a Google apprentice will require 40 structured hours split between hands-on training and related technical instruction. You’ll follow a hybrid work week, which will involve working approximately 3 days a week in the office, and 2 days from home or nearby - wherever you work best - as you work towards completing the required competencies for your track. You’ll dedicate 1-2 days a week to virtual lessons with our external training provider, such as spotlighting a particular concept or participating in a professional development workshop. Your remaining days are spent gaining practical experience through different projects on your Google team.

The Google Digital Marketing apprenticeship is a 20 month program for individuals looking to start a career in digital marketing. This program is a structured learning and development opportunity. Apprentices participate in on-the-job training, related technical instruction, and career development workshops, to develop professional skills. Upon completion, apprentices receive a nationally-recognized credential, certified by the U.S. Department of Labor.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $40,000-$53,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Support execution of go-to-market strategies and coordination for new product launches and programs (e.g., positioning, naming, external communications, competitive analysis, and feature prioritization).
  • Support insight gathering to better serve our users (e.g., via focus groups, working with a research agency to develop and test hypotheses, etc.) and manage social media campaigns, and develop ideas to better engage our users.
  • Attend team meetings to keep colleagues informed and to create a forum for knowledge sharing.
  • Manage externally facing interactions with clients/partners, executing and following up on tasks/action items that result from interacting with a given client/partner.
  • Analyze and evaluate organizations’ digital strategies and actions.
