LHH is currently seeking a Manager, Development/ Special Events for a nationally recognized not-for profit organization in the health field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in special events’ fundraising as well as an appreciation for how a robust special events program operates within the overall development operation of an organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Increase event revenue through the identification, cultivation and solicitation of corporate sponsorships
• Events include the Annual Gala, 2 regional Golf Tournaments, a National Walk event as well as various miscellaneous events each year
• Design and implement an overall plan for special events, clarifying goals, workflow, and expectations for all relevant parties
• Represent VP, Resource Development, Marketing and Affiliate Services in meetings with funders when necessary and appropriate
• Coordinate with Marketing team to create effective strategies to maximize the visibility and reach of each fundraising event
• Serves as a senior member of the special events team, supervising the special event coordinator and working together to ensure the overall success of the organization’s events program
• Work closely with Board and committees to cultivate both prospect and donor relationships, resulting in greater economic support for the organization from events program
• Oversee the physical implementation aspects of all events

Qualifications

• Be a self-starter who is comfortable operating independently
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks and think critically.
• Promoting an inclusive, welcoming and expansive definition of diversity that addresses the intersections of identity (e.g. intersectionality, etc.).
• Ability to successfully navigate in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of development experience with a strong background in producing and fundraising for special events

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office platforms required

Competitive benefits package. Salary $68-75K, based on experience.
