POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Marketing Associate

DEPARTMENT: Marketing Communications

LOCATION: New York

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

SALARY: $52,000-$58,000


Position Overview

The Marketing Associate will assist with the day-to-day management and execution of Film at Lincoln Center’s (FLC) marketing strategy through supporting projects and campaigns, community outreach, and other related duties.

This position will participate in the marketing efforts for all of FLC’s programs, events, and activities, including the New York Film Festival. This is a full-time position. The position is a hybrid role with WFH optional during the week, with designated days in the office as instructed by the Marketing Manager.

This position is represented by union UAW 2110.


Principal Duties

  • Draft and deploy email marketing (newsletters, ticket-holder updates, etc.)
  • Assist community outreach efforts, seeking to introduce FLC to new audiences across NYC through email marketing and other promotional tactics
  • Create surveys and analyze key findings and data
  • Participate in the creation of the monthly Key Performance Indicator report
  • Support for marketing “tentpole” festivals such as the New York Film Festival, New Directors/New Films, and year-round series
  • Assist with marketing projects and campaigns for all FLC programming and internal stakeholders, including Membership, Partnerships, Events, FiIm Comment Magazine, and FLC Academies/Education.
  • Other duties as required
  • Assist with digital marketing projects, including website builds

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 1-2 years experience in Marketing
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • A passionate interest in arthouse and international cinema
  • An excellent understanding of general marketing principles
  • Previous experience in community engagement efforts

Other Skills that would be useful:

  • Content management systems/email systems / CRMs
  • Google Office Suite (Drive, Slides, etc.)
  • Experience with:
  • Wordfly
  • Tessitura
  • Asana or other project management software
