Job Description
About This Role


We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join our Culture Center of Excellence team at Wells Fargo. This manager will lead a team charged with assessing the current organizational culture, developing insights/identifying areas of focus, and defining how we execute on those areas as part of an integrated, enterprise-wide culture program. This individual will partner with senior leaders across the company to help set the "tone from the top" and will define cultural expectations, behaviors, and programs in alignment with our talent and engagement roadmap. As part of this effort, this team will establish the design and delivery of a cohesive, end-to-end culture experience focused on enhancing employee engagement and empowering employees to deliver their best work now and in the future.


The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with demonstrated experience collecting and synthesizing input from stakeholders and surveys, developing narrative-driven executive-level presentations, identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement, proposing creative solutions, influencing, and driving key decisions, while leading a team of professionals through the roll-out of the enterprise-wide culture program across the organization. Applicants should have experience working in large, complex, global organizations, preferably in a regulated industry.


In This Role, You Will


  • Oversee executive or board-level reporting on culture outcomes and metrics across Wells Fargo, in partnership with applicable HR Governance + Reporting teams
  • Champion company culture, values, and employee engagement practices to align with organizational goals; collaborate and partner with key cross-functional team members to deliver coordinated solutions that support our Culture objectives
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • Assess and deliver competency model / leadership model frameworks and solutions in support of behavioral expectations
  • Establish and execute a communication strategy to keep internal partners advised on the team's work and ensure timely delivery of culture-driven initiatives
  • Manage a team that will drive the creation of a future state culture roadmap for Wells Fargo - anchored in data, insights, and external benchmarking & research, designed to maximize the engagement of all employees and build organizational commitment to the desired culture
  • Partner with HR and People Analytics teams to interpret existing enterprise engagement survey metrics and develop key culture insights
  • Leverage a variety of feedback sources, including survey data and senior leader feedback, to assess current state culture and develop an integrated action plan that will include the design and implementation of strategies, programs, and processes to create and reinforce the desired culture
  • Partner with applicable communications, engagement and change management partners to develop employee-facing content that will drive & market culture initiatives
  • Partner closely with Performance Management and Talent Center of Excellence teams to align immediate and long-term enterprise culture, performance, talent, and career + development strategies within Wells Fargo's businesses and functions
  • Partner with Business Control teams to maintain appropriate risk controls for execution of work, understand the various risk routines and maintain evidence of execution
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to support the Operating Committee and executive management through onboarding, coaching, and consulting
Required Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of Management experience
  • 8+ years of Strategy and Planning experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications


  • Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills - with background in leveraging data to tell the right story
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback / direction, and manage and build relationships in a geographically dispersed environment
  • 10+ years of previous experience in human resources, talent + performance management, leadership development, corporate strategy, organizational effectiveness, coaching or career planning
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong experience developing partnerships, collaborating, and influencing across various partner groups, lines of business, and/or Centers of Excellence; ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior executive stakeholders, flexing style and approach as required in a range of complex situations with diverse audiences
  • Previous Workday experience - specifically within the broader talent portfolio
  • Ability to think strategically, offer creative solutions, and challenge the status quo
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and make timely and independent decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Comfortable operating in a changing environment while demonstrating agility and flexibility
  • Strong change management skills, technology proficiency, systems thinking and quality orientation
  • Strategic perspective and thought leadership in a broad range of talent + performance management and / or leadership development areas
  • Significant experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale change programs (culture, people, processes, systems-related), leadership development, employee engagement, career management, and / or performance management programs
