Job description

The Director of Sales Planning & Strategy is responsible for ownership of various sales planning and strategy functions, ensuring current operations run smoothly and looking to the future to scale the business commercially. This person serves as a link between sales and key cross functional teams (operations, marketing and finance) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in commercial operations, while driving growth of the business through strategic program development and deployment.


This role is remote for candidates based in the United States (preference for candidates in PST) and reports into our SVP of Global Sales.


Responsibilities:

Data Reporting, Analytics & Strategy

  • Consolidate all Sales results (Sell in & Sell out) and prepare total roll-up for management review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement new analysis, reporting and planning solutions, continuously finding ways to improve processes to drive growth and create operational efficiencies
  • Evaluate sales data across customer accounts and analysis to present findings, make recommendations and develop business insights
  • Provide transparency to leadership with open communication to ensure visibility of sales activities, progress and challenges

Planning and Forecasting

  • Coordinate Sampling and promotional activities across all wholesale accounts to ensure execution and measure Return On Investment
  • Consolidate wholesale orders with Account Managers to hit desired month and monitor to mitigate liabilities
  • With support of Account Managers manage monthly OTB and provide mid-month roll-up
  • Lead the retail & shipment budgeting and forecasting exercises
  • Rollup and monitor monthly expenses for DIF/Testers and RTVs
  • Drive all retail sales planning and operational processes
  • Validate key opportunities through data and consistently evaluate current sales strategies and adjust based on tests and learns, key data trends, and competitive analysis
  • Develop high level sales strategies and initiatives designed to optimize sales team efficiency and productivity
  • Manage Account Alignment and make recommendations
  • Lead Account Managers in retailer bottoms-up
  • Lead the New Product Launch sizing exercises across all accounts
  • Partner with Planning and Account Managers to review stock allocations to maximize retail sales and wholesale inventory for launches, core replenishment, and in store animations

Field Sales Enablement

  • Assist in the development and communicate Sales Account Executive goals and track performance against goals
  • Develop tools to help team manage and track monthly spend and conduct monthly review sessions

Job requirements

  • Proven success in creating and leading processes for high-growth teams
  • 7 + years of experience within sales planning and operations; beauty experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Power BI
  • Energized by crafting & implementing strategic solutions
  • Ability to work in remote first, agile environment
  • Adaptable, resourceful and forward thinking
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis experience
