Corporate & Investment Bank: Payments External Reporting - Associate

Organization Overview

The Finance and Business Management group provides financial advice to support the business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Payments is a sub-Line of Business within the Corporate & Investment Bank. J.P. The Product Controller team is an integral component of the Corporate & Investment Business Finance and Business Management function, and is responsible for providing business advisory and accounting support, control oversight and integrity of the financial statements and transaction end-to-end control in support of the business. Responsibilities of this team include, but are not limited to, oversight of financial statement and management reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting policies including new business initiatives and product review, business performance control, business analytics and expense management.

As an Associate in the External / Internal Reporting Team you will be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting of Line of Business -specific financial information provided to the central reporting functions responsible for consolidation into firm-wide to both external (e.g. regulatory) and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management
• Assist with daily P&L reporting and month-end close processes
• Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control
• Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
• Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
• Solid understanding of financial products would be advantageous
• 3+ years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
• Experience doing P&L and month end close process
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.
