This opportunity is with a middle-market firm in South Florida that focuses on many industries such as technology, consumer goods, industrials, and business services. As a Private Equity Associate, you will play a crucial role in the investment decision-making process, working closely with the senior team members to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities. This is a unique chance to work in a collaborative environment with industry experts and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
Investment Associate Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the strategic and operational management of portfolio companies including coordinating with the businesses commercialization team as appropriate and participate in strategic decision-making processes.
- Develop relationships with industry professionals, investment banks, and other key stakeholders to facilitate diligence efforts.
- Prepare detailed investment memos, financial models, and valuation analyses to support investment recommendations.
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions.
- Managing diligence processes, developing financial models, supporting valuation efforts, and preparing investment documents to support all phases of the investment process.
Investment Associate Qualifications:
- Demonstrated technical and market research, financial modeling, presentation-building, and communication skills with ability to communicate complex data effectively
- Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- A minimum of 2 years of Investment Banking or Private Equity experience
- Purpose driven with a deep personal interest growing and scaling businesses across the U.S.
- Four-year degree in finance, or a related discipline
- Ability to work in an uncertain business environment and manage several activity streams with conflicting priorities
