Job Description
Summary
Project Management/ Planning/ Coordinating activities typically in the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.


Roles And Responsibilities


  • Assure timely resolution of issues and keep the customer advised of the progress of the project and negotiate changes and variations and solutions to any issue arising.
  • Ensure the best response time to Forced Outages and provide the necessary resources to return the Covered Unit to commercial operation.
  • Provide support to manager and senior contracts personnel on assigned contracts Function as the liaison for the customer on contract matters
  • Provide technical assistance for systems supplied by Contractor or its Affiliates, including but not limited to: combustion turbine, combustion turbine auxiliaries, combustion turbine control, excitation systems, steam turbine, generator and HRSG.
  • Provide updates to technical information and specifications relevant to Owner’s Planned Maintenance Assumptions (i.e. fuel specification updates).
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • To the extent available, collect, maintain, and update records on, refurbishment activities, and destructive/non-destructive examinations performed on all hot gas path parts removed from the Covered Units.
  • Responsible for adherence to contract service, operations, and performance specifications, as well as financial & technical metrics specific to contract. Perform proposal negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with minimal supervision
  • Respond to Owner’s technical inquiries utilizing the M & D Center to access Contractor’s appropriate Engineering and Commercial personnel.
  • Maintain a Covered Unit operating history.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • All contract performance related activities, typically tied to a customer site. Perform in the role as the interface between the customer and the project team, managing the transfer of information and requests.
  • Actively participate in team activities in support of Facility reliability, availability, capacity, and performance objectives related to equipment supplied by Contractor or its Affiliates.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • Work with Owner’s Operations and Maintenance (“O&M”) staff to develop maintenance schedules that optimize Facility reliability and availability.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in power generation industry OR Associates degree with 2 years of experience in a power generation industry)
  • Minimum of 5 years of knowledge and experience within legacy Alstom GT 24 power plant field services or contract management


Eligibility Requirement


  • Must reside or be willing to relocate near San Marcos, Texas.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.
