PGIM Investments LLC (“PI”) is seeking a Compliance Analyst candidate to be located in Newark, NJ. PI is an investment manager to the mutual fund complex within Prudential Financial, Inc. with over $250 billion in AUM. As part of its business, PI oversees a large number of affiliated and unaffiliated subadvisers. The due diligence team provides compliance oversight of subadvisers to the mutual funds, closed-end funds, and ETFs managed by PI. To facilitate this, the due diligence team performs regulatory due diligence reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of each subadviser’s compliance program.

The scope and responsibilities of this role will not be static. As the business needs and compliance objectives change, the responsibilities of the position are expected to evolve to meet the changing regulatory landscape and departmental deliverables. Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Provide situational compliance support in connection with portfolio oversight, new fund launches, subadviser transitions, fund mergers, or liquidations.
• Research and resolve potential regulatory breaches and/or trade and operational errors.
• Communicate with both internal and external subadvisers to the PGIM fund complex.
• Improve and streamline compliance processes where possible with a focus on the use of technology and data analytics.
• Provide support for the overall compliance program including various ad hoc projects.
• Communicate funds’ standards and requirements to existing and new subadvisers of the funds.
• Conduct daily portfolio compliance monitoring relating to funds, including developing new monitoring to reflect new regulations or new strategies.

Req. External Qualifications

A successful candidate will have intellectual curiosity and be solutions oriented. The successful candidate also will possess an ownership mindset and be comfortable navigating uncertainty. Other required qualifications include:

• Prior experience at a registered investment adviser of registered funds.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to interface with various business unit, legal and compliance contacts.
• Investment guideline monitoring and coding experience a plus.
• Strong multitasking skills, including the ability to manage several projects at once to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use PowerBI, excel (macros, queries, reporting), and other technology solutions a plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and research areas that may have more complex regulatory requirements and translate and educate for business application.
• Excellent written and oral skills and strong attention to detail.
• Regulatory background in compliance, legal, audit, risk management, operations, or fund administration a plus.
• Working knowledge of Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A technology mindset with the ability to identify manual processes and solution with automated processes

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $86,300.00 to $128,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
