Global Enterprise Services (GES) has a career opportunity for a Process Management Associate in the Abandoned Property Operations (APO) team headquartered in Newark, NJ. Prudential’s Abandoned Property Operations team is responsible for enterprise-wide compliance, regulatory reporting, and escheatment of abandoned property. This role will also provide an opportunity to support other functions as needed across the Financial Operations team. This role will be hybrid based out of Newark NJ with an expectation of being in the office 1-2 times per quarter.
Job Responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor position where you will work collaboratively with other team members and business partners to complete various activities required to ensure compliance with ongoing obligations of APO. This position will report to the Manager of APO. Your specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform daily reconciliation of liability account and process journal entries to move funds between internal accounts.
• Manage record retention guidelines for all APO products, including quarterly reporting to peers, and participating in records purge processing.
• Support requests from state agencies, internal business partners, and auditors as needed.
• Process reimbursement claims from state agencies.
• Perform regulatory compliance review of abandoned property regulations for all states annually
• Perform regulatory escheat reporting as required by state and government agencies

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environment
• Quick learner with an ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills with an attention to details
• BA/BS college degree with 2 years plus work experience required
• Basic accounting knowledge to process debits and credits within internal accounts
• Proficient in MS Office tools (e.g Word, Excel)

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $68,400.00 to $101,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
