Description of Job


The Accounting unit handles all accounting specific functions for the department, which includes accounts payable, revenue collection, payroll for over 1,700 employees, general accounting transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.


We're hiring a detailed and analytical minded individual to be our UKG Timekeeping Analyst


in our Accounting unit! You will be providing analysis and oversight of timecard recordkeeping to maintain accuracy in the system and ensure employees are paid correctly. Your ability to collaborate with other work units will aid you in gathering information, reporting and correcting systems. Primary Duties


Timekeeping Analysis and Reconciliation -


  • Analyzes timecard data during and immediately following each pay period.
  • Analyzes the timecards for accuracy, taking appropriate action based on the issue and departmental policies and procedures to ensure all issues are reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Pulls reporting for each pay period to actively monitor and address timecard approvals, number of hours and leave requests.
System Configuration & Testing -


  • Participates in working meetings with various stakeholders to improve system functinoality.
  • Participates in system testing and analysis prior to implementation of system updates or upgrades.
  • Provides ongoing feedback on system functionality, identifying opportunities to improve user experience as it relates to timecard management.
  • Supports and collaborates with the UKG Administrator to provide technical and analytical support through the maintenance, design and enhancement of UKG Dimensions.
Department Timekeeper Reporting Liaison & Reporting -


  • Supports UKG and Payroll with the monthly analysis of various reports.
  • Collaborates with department timekeepers on reporting needs and acts as a liaison to ensure reporting needs are being met throughout the Department.
  • Recommends reports based on need and feedback.
This position is primarily remote with occasional in office meetings or training located in Lakewood. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights


Minimum Qualifications


Must meet one of the following or any combination of experience/education to meet the qualifications:


Option 1


  • 6 years of experience in payroll, finance, accounting and/or database administration.


OR


Option 2


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or as determined by the Department.


AND


  • 2 years of professional experience in payroll, finance, accounting and/or database administration.


OR


Option 3


  • Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with database administration
  • Experience as an administrator of the KRONOS system
  • Analytical skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel
  • Payroll experience
