Oracle Supply Chain Operations manages the hardware supply chain for both the external commercial business and also for internal customers in support of the rapidly growing Oracle Cloud. We are seeking a passionate Commodity Supply-Demand Planner ready for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment who will manage end-to-end component planning of a core commodity for our Supply Chain.
- Interfaces with sales, business units and suppliers to develop product forecasts, create inventory strategies and resolve supply-demand issues impacting revenue, customer delivery and margin.
- With direction on new assignments, develops product forecasts and inventory strategies for a set of assigned products. With guidance from senior colleagues, resolves supply-demand issues impacting customer delivery performance, revenue and margin. Evaluates inventory performance and identifies improvement opportunities. Root-causes forecasting errors and recommends adjustments. Presents business results and planning recommendations to cross-functional teams in sales, finance and business units. May be assigned to test new planning processes and systems. Assists and supports senior colleagues in their activities on an ad-hoc basis.
- Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Work environment is occasionally ambiguous and the planner will need to manage through uncertainties with some assistance from senior colleagues and management. Work has a significant strategic aspect, as plans direct the positioning and purchasing of millions of dollars of inventory, and heavily influence continuity of supply and the customer delivery experience inside the assigned product set. Key skills and abilities include complex/statistical data analysis, influencing, presentation, communication, process improvement, and problem solving. Key knowledge areas include familiarity with supply chain planning principles, moderate business acumen and general understanding of product and business strategy. Prefer 2 years relevant experience plus BA/BS degree.
- Independently works to develop product forecasts, create inventory strategies and resolve supply-demand issues for assigned products. Leads cross-functional supply chain teams to solve excess inventory and supply shortage problems impacting revenue, customer delivery and margin. Drives forecast accuracy improvement. Assesses forward-looking supply chain revenue capability for senior leadership. When necessary, develops and coordinates supply allocations for internal and supplier teams to optimize supply chain performance. Presents business results and planning recommendations to cross-functional teams in sales, finance and business units. May be assigned to assist in the design, development and evaluation of new planning processes and systems. Assists senior planners and management teams in their activities on an ad-hoc basis. Builds constructive stakeholder relationships which involve direct interaction and influence with different Oracle lines-of-business and Oracle suppliers.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $69,600 to $135,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $65,700 to $121,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
New York City Pay Range: from $65,700 to $128,700 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Washington Pay Range: from $73,400 to $128,700 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
