As we continue to scale, we must enhance our cross-functional speed of risk assessment, decision making and execution. We are searching for a leader that can enable this by collaborating cross-functionally, across business lines and geographies to create historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to create accurate demand forecasts. The leader must have a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, as well as experience with data analysis and forecasting techniques. This individual contributor must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders
The Demand Planner will work within the Planning, Analysis & Change Readiness leader to scope, plan and implement business process improvement projects focused on ensuring compliance, while also improving effectiveness and efficiency, in support of supply chain operations business goals.
What you’ll do:
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and development ops, to gather information and insights that can inform demand forecasts.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and distribution channels based on demand forecasts.
  • Analyzing sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for products or services.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed records of sales data, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Communicating demand forecasts and related insights to other departments and stakeholders.
  • Lead SIOP meetings with supply planner : Facilitate regular SIOP meetings to review performance against the plan, resolve issues, and make adjustments to the plan as needed.
  • Developing and implementing processes and systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of demand forecasting and supply chain management.
  • Develop and manage the SIOP process with supply planner: Establish and manage the overall SIOP process, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and capacity planning.
  • Improve processes: Continuously evaluate and improve the SIOP process to optimize business performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the accuracy of demand forecasts and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to demand planning and supply chain management.
  • Identifying and addressing potential supply chain bottlenecks or risks that may impact demand forecasts.
What you bring:
  • Attention to detail: must be able to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in their forecasts and analysis.
  • Ability to travel up to one week per quarter in the continental USA
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze large amount of data and draw meaningful conclusions, proficiency in excel and other analytical tools
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, supply chain management, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in regulated industry such as clinical laboratory, medical device, or manufacturing.
  • Adaptability: must be able to adapt to changes in market conditions and adjust their forecasts accordingly
  • 5+ years Experience in statistical forecasting methods and techniques for Clinical, R&D or Quality groups of an FDA regulated environment. Emphasis should be on knowledge of time-series analysis, regression analysis, and other forecasting methodologies. laboratory tools Experience in designing high performing business processes that are cross-functional and support enterprise-wide capabilities
  • 10-15+ years experience in demand planning and statistical forecasting
Differentiating Qualifications
  • Preferred working experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proficient in using various software and tools, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, forecasting software,
  • Preferred working experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain operations
  • LEAN 6-Sigma TQM certifications and projects from an well-respected training agency
  • Experience in an operational lead role
  • In Depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting techniques
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. USA National Pay Range
$76,500—$95,600 USD
