About The Role

The Senior Associate will join a private investment firm, in their Dallas or Cleveland office. This firm focuses on middle market, acquiring businesses with $5-15M EBITDA. They primarily invest in the business services, industrial services, tech services but will invest across all industry segments. The firm raised their third fund in 2022, totaling of ~$620 million.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Associate will be an active investment professional and be responsible for investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions of the firm. Specific responsibilities include:

• Industry research – Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
• Investor relations and fundraising – Compile financial reports and valuation estimates of current portfolio companies for current and potential investors
• Financial analysis – reviewing and running financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies
• Investment approval materials – Prepare/review memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee
• Third party diligence – Facilitate diligence activities with third-party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants)
• Portfolio management – Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies
• Marketing – Provide support and attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, etc.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in middle-market investment banking, private equity.

Education

Salary

Salary is competitive, depending on experience.
