Job Description
We are the leading oncology CRO, developing novel treatments for patients that need them most. Position Summary


The Proposal Strategist plays a crucial role in supporting the development of compelling proposals for clinical oncology studies. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey scientific and technical information in a clear and concise manner. This role assists in the creation and maintenance of proposal resources, reviews and edits proposal drafts for quality and compliance, and participates in proposal strategy meetings. This role reports to the Director of Business Operations.


Essential Functions


  • Conduct comprehensive research, including scientific literature, market analysis, and competitive intelligence, to support the early development of a sound operational plan.
  • Lead proposal strategy meetings, contributing innovative ideas to enhance proposal content and increase the organization's chances of winning contracts.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a proposal library, which includes templates, standard text, and supporting documentation to streamline future proposal development processes.
  • Support the preparation of contract language and cost estimates for business opportunities in collaboration with business operations, finance, and project management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, Sponsor requirements, and regulatory guidelines pertaining to the CRO industry to incorporate relevant information into proposal content.
  • Ensure clear and concise proposal content, aligning with company guidelines, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including physicians, business development, and clinical leadership to ensure accurate and comprehensive proposal content.
  • Review and edit proposal drafts meticulously, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with proposal guidelines while maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Able to rapidly learn and assist in deploying enterprise-wide technology solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities for the use of visual elements, rather than text, to efficiently convey a winning study strategy. Also, assist with the development of these elements as needed.


Job Requirements


  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree (preferably in life sciences, communication, or business).
  • Experience within a CRO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical company is preferred; however, well-qualified entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply


Required Specialized/Technical Skills


  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines for simultaneous, ongoing projects

Compensation: From $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
