Proposal Writer & Account Manager

This is a 100% remote role. You'll be working as an independent contractor with about 10hrs/wk to start, with lots of room to grow! Help us help our clients win federal, state, and local government contracts!

This is a client-facing role, where you'll be interacting with JDP client's virtually. This would include 1 weekly call with your assigned clients. During your engagement with the clients, you'll be taking the lead on their proposal responses.

Job Duties

• Acting in an Account Manager style, you will be the primary POC for 1-2 clients. This would entail:
• Most of our clients are submitting 1-2 bids per month, but we do have some who would like to submit 3-4 bids per month.
• Perform an initial, thorough analysis of all solicitation documents
• Ability to do-your-own research via Google search and create new technical approaches is a MUST.
• Email communication with the client: alerting them to new bids in the sheet, providing more information on a bid if they request it (to your knowledge), doing basic pricing research on a bid.
• 1 weekly client meeting that's set for 1hr. On this call, you'd discuss any new bids you found that the client hasn't indicated whether they want to go after it; providing more information on a particular bid.
• Bid finding on Tuesdays and Fridays for only your assigned clients.
• Write content for Management, Technical, and Past Performance (and other) Volumes
• Ability to take boilerplate/stock content and re-purpose it to fit new RFx requirement
• Setting up your own schedule to adhere to the bids due dates' and sending to me for a review prior to sending to the client
• Primarily working with the client to get the necessary information to assemble new responses (references, qualifications, etc) and creating the technical approach for them or leveraging the content they want.

Required Experience

• At least 4 years experience responding to federal government AND state/local RFPs.
• Exceptional project management skills
• Federal and SLED pricing/cost analysis experience
• Agility and speed in executing strong writing
• Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment
• Proven ability to lead 1-2 concurrent proposals under the own supervision

Nice-to-haves

• APMP Certification and/or Shipley proposal method experience
