Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Application Support Specialist is to ensure the successful implementation and support of clinical applications and infrastructure through user orientation, training (initial and/or ongoing) and support in meeting the needs of the organization. This position provides feedback to IS Leadership, the CMIO, and other SRH leaders related to user interactions of the enterprise applications and associated IT infrastructure. The information described in this job description has been designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed. Salary Range: $25.33/hr - $37.99/hr DOE Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week. Eligible employees also receive sick time pay.

Essential Functions
Works with users and site leadership to develop and/or modify procedures as a result of workflow process changes related to clinical and/or business application(s) use. Effectively explain the functioning of the assigned application(s) and related systems to the users. Provides frontline systems support for assigned departments/specialties in the utilization of assigned application(s). Serves as an on-site instructor and resource to physicians, leadership and staff on application(s). Provides initial and ongoing training; updates procedures; and serves as a resource for users application(s). Identifies ongoing application systems issues for all assigned application(s) and communicates patterns to key stakeholders. Assists in installations and updates for all assigned application(s) in cooperation with key stakeholders. Communicates project status and upgrades to clinic users, including any potential delays/downtime related to application(s). Creates and/or revises written procedures for all assigned application(s) to meet assigned clinic(s) specific needs. Collects data, documents as needed to identify trends and identify potential resolutions. Share trends and resolutions with key stakeholders. Performs system testing, training and/or documentation tasks and communicates outcomes to key stakeholders. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the medical and/or business operations of the assigned clinic(s). Assists other clinics in the implementation/go live process as needed. Communicate effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner. Attend and actively participate in all department, team and/or committee meetings Comply with all Skagit Regional Health, department and location specific policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or designee.

Education
High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience/Training
Three years of experience in Epic or other similar EMR programs preferred. IS training or related experience preferred. Epic proficiency preferred.

License/Certification
None required, however certification or proficiency in Epic preferred.

Other Qualifications
Demonstrated strong user experience with automated clinical and/or business systems within a provider group practice such as electronic medical/health record, scheduling, billing, registration and handheld prescriptions, dictation and transcription. Ability to provide initial and ongoing training. Ability to review and analyze clinical and business functions, procedures, and information flows and to create complete and timely documentation. Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure components, including basic hardware, database concepts and terminology. Ability to actively contribute within a team-focused environment. Ability to identify and solve problems creatively. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced, demanding and dynamic environment within deadlines with a high attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and caregivers.
