Senior Engineer – Security Authentication
:
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the status, health, security and operational status of several security / authentication related applications. Job duties include patching, configuration, coding, testing, monitoring, planning, estimating, defects, and bug fixes. The ideal candidate will consult on projects and have direct interactions with clients and 3rd Party Vendors. They will be responsible for managing and validating security controls and documentation on all assigned applications as well as maintain current skills, knowledge and training associated with their assigned applications.
Essential Job Functions:
Production Support Role:
  • Complete all application assessments/reviews on time for Security audits
  • Monitor application performance and stability and engage vendor resources as needed for deeper analysis and/or recommendations
  • Engage in planning for projects with delivery and development teams to ensure coding standards are met, security requirements are satisfied, and transition documentation is provided prior to receiving support handoff of new applications
  • Periodically review Alert criteria and thresholds to ensure quick response time to triggered events
  • Ensure that all test scripts, plans, architectural diagrams, end-point identifications/designations are up to date in both the Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan
  • The ideal candidate will be capable of communicating status, issues and changes to executive leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders
  • Partner with Development teams and Vendors to remediate vulnerabilities within agreed upon timelines
  • Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity problems in 24x7 on-call production support rotation
  • Work with Incident / Problem Management teams to address and resolve open incidents within the agreed upon SLA
  • Analyze log files to assist the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) with investigation of brute attacks and other threat assessments
  • Participate in data gathering for root cause analysis and incidents
  • Ensure that all applications comply with IT and Security Standards up to and including the use of Non-Human IDs, encryption and access control
  • Coordinate testing and validation of server patches with LOB engagement
  • Strong ability to think on your feet / work thru incidents and problems where documentation may not be readily available and/or vendor support is less than timely
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • (Sr Level)-10-20 years experience in a production support role in a distributed application environment
  • 5-10 years experience in a production support role in a distributed application environment
  • Proven experience working with complex technical systems and environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle Exadata knowledge
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery Methodology including multiple environments, code migration flexibility, DevOps Toolsets
  • Knowledge of step-up authentication
  • Experience with systems integration via SOAP & REST services and microservices
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Jenkins and GIT
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $67,000 to $140,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
