Sr Manager, Business Performance
Job Summary:
Disney’s Enterprise Technology team is seeking a Sr Manager, Business Performance that will report into the SVP and will be a critical strategic, operational, change, and transformation leader. Leaders at the Walt Disney Company envision the impossible, harness the creative power of the Company, and lead with a global mindset.
This candidate will be an intellectually curious and proactive problem-solver, who can handle multiple priorities simultaneously and is comfortable with ambiguity. The role requires high diligence, top-flight financial, strategic, and operational analysis, strong presentation skills, and executive presence.
The Sr Manager, Business Performance will oversee a team of data analysts, business analysts, and portfolio managers and will be responsible for:
Strategic Planning
- Support the SVP in setting the strategy and building roadmaps
- Own and drive key initiatives, special projects, ad hoc requests
- Partner with the senior leaders to drive the strategy, priorities, and key initiatives
- Support with hiring, team building and culture-building activities
- Provide a voice at the leadership table, while also being a resource to help support the broader strategic and operational needs of the team
- Support communication plans around strategy with senior leaders and partner teams
- Act as proxy and representative of the SVP as needed
Business Operations & Measurement
- Develop and implement a data driven operational framework with effective and efficient operating mechanisms and governance
- Set and drive Continuous Improvement goals for the organization
- Standardize and evolve common operating mechanisms, processes, and practices across the organization
- Drive and manage 5 year plan as well as annual AOP planning and institutionalize ongoing measurement methods to ensure we stay on track
- Own and oversee Financial Management of departmental and portfolio budgets and help develop and implement strategies to optimize cost
- Lead organizational change management
Portfolio Management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and go to green plans as needed
- Ensure compliance to TPP/PPM standards
- Drive initiatives to improvement maturity
- Manage overall project portfolio
- Develop and evolve governance framework to ensure we deliver against our commitments
- Implement a vendor governance framework
Experience
- 15+ years in Technology Leadership
- Experience in a Fortune 500 company managing a complex and diverse portfolio of large, integrated technology strategies
- Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences
- Experience defining strategies and operational initiatives in a fast-paced environment; ability to work within tight timelines
- Effective thought leadership skills and business acumen
- Ability to effectively lead, partner with and successfully influence executives and other stakeholders at all levels across a matrixed organization
- Able to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
- Capital and Operating Expense budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
- Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance
