The primary responsibilities for this position include:


  • Identify leads by remaining abreast of current events, defense industry trends and the competitive landscape throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Qualify leads by gaining insight about the prospective customer’s requirements, available budget and expected purchasing timeline.
  • Implement business capture strategies by developing proactive customer engagement plans, leading proposal development activities, coordinating the efforts of relevant internal stakeholders and gaining the approval of Insitu’s executive leadership.
  • Shape prospective customers’ requirements and purchasing decisions towards Insitu’s products and services by recognizing the problems they are trying to solve and helping them visualize Insitu’s products and services as the right solution.
  • Cultivate positive relationships through frequent interaction with relevant decision-makers and influencers, the thoughtful appreciation of cultural differences and a deliberate effort to recognize value from the customer’s perspective.
  • Develop business capture strategies by analyzing Insitu’s capabilities versus our competition and the prospective customer’s requirements, budget and expected purchasing timeline.


Other responsibilities for this position include:


  • Manage up-to-date customer contact information, opportunity status and other capture-related information via Insitu’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Organize Insitu’s participation in relevant trade shows and exhibitions.
  • International travel up to 25%.
  • Organize live demonstrations that showcase Insitu’s capabilities for prospective customers.
  • Work with your peers, leadership and Boeing affiliates to develop regional tactics and strategies that align with Insitu’s strategic priorities.
  • Develop and maintain customer-specific presentations that accurately reflect Insitu’s capabilities and effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Remain engaged and harmonize efforts with the Insitu program manager for each customer in the Asia-Pacific region.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, serve on a team and work independently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ITAR and EAR compliance.
  • This is a remote position based in the Washington, DC area with the ability to routinely visit U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of State security assistance organizations.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.
  • 5 - 10 years of U.S. government security assistance experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. person as defined by the ITAR.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Advanced degree.
  • Proficient foreign language speaker.
  • Previous experience with unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Active secret clearance, strong plus.
  • Proficiency with SalesForce CRM tool.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.


Compensation Range: 153,000.00 - 210,100.00
