Primary responsibilities include:


  • Develop business capture strategies by analyzing Insitu’s capabilities versus our competition and the U.S. Navy’s requirements, budget and expected purchasing timeline.
  • Identify leads by remaining abreast of current events, defense industry trends and the competitive landscape, particularly as related to unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Implement business capture strategies by developing proactive customer engagement plans, leading proposal development activities, coordinating the efforts of relevant internal stakeholders and gaining the approval of Insitu’s executive leadership.
  • Shape U.S. Navy requirements and purchasing decisions towards Insitu’s products and services by recognizing the problems they are trying to solve and helping them visualize Insitu’s products and services as the right solution.
  • Cultivate positive relationships through frequent interaction with relevant U.S. Navy decision-makers and influencers and a deliberate effort to recognize value from the U.S. Navy’s perspective.
  • Qualify leads by gaining insight about the U.S. Navy’s requirements, available budget and expected purchasing timeline.


Other responsibilities for this position include:


  • Manage up-to-date customer contact information, opportunity status and other capture-related information via SalesForce.
  • Develop and maintain customer-specific presentations that accurately reflect Insitu’s capabilities and effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Organize live demonstrations that showcase Insitu’s capabilities for prospective customers.
  • Remain engaged and harmonize efforts with the Insitu program manager for each existing U.S. Navy customer.
  • Organize Insitu’s participation in relevant trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Work with your peers, leadership and Boeing affiliates to develop tactics and strategies that align with Insitu’s strategic priorities.
  • Domestic and International travel up to 25%.


Requirements:


  • Must reside in the National Capital Region and within routine commuting distance of the Pentagon, Navy Yard, Office of Naval Research, Naval Research Laboratory and Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland.
  • Experience with MQ-21 Blackjack, MQ-27 ScanEagle, MQ-8 Fire Scout, and/or Task Force 59 a plus.
  • Able to gain and maintain a security clearance. Active security clearance a plus.
  • 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 13+ years related experience with a Master's degree.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.


Compensation Range: 153,000.00 - 210,100.00
