Primary responsibilities include:


  • Cultivate positive relationships through frequent interaction with relevant DHS, USCG, and CBP decision-makers and influencers and a deliberate effort to recognize value from their perspective.
  • Implement business capture strategies by developing proactive customer engagement plans, leading proposal development activities, coordinating the efforts of relevant internal stakeholders and gaining the approval of Insitu’s executive leadership.
  • Develop business capture strategies by analyzing Insitu’s capabilities versus our competition and DHS, USCG, and CBP requirements, budget and expected purchasing timeline.
  • Qualify leads by gaining insight about DHS, USCG, and CBP requirements, available budget and expected purchasing timeline.
  • Shape DHS, USCG, and CBP requirements and purchasing decisions towards Insitu’s products and services by recognizing the problems they are trying to solve and helping them visualize Insitu’s products and services as the right solution.
  • Identify leads by remaining abreast of current events, homeland security industry trends and the competitive landscape, particularly as related to unmanned aircraft systems.


Other responsibilities for this position include:


  • Domestic and International travel up to 25%.
  • Manage up-to-date customer contact information, opportunity status and other capture-related information via SalesForce.
  • Develop and maintain customer-specific presentations that accurately reflect Insitu’s capabilities and effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Organize live demonstrations that showcase Insitu’s capabilities for prospective customers.
  • Work with your peers, leadership and Boeing affiliates to develop tactics and strategies that align with Insitu’s strategic priorities.
  • Remain engaged and harmonize efforts with the Insitu program manager for each existing DHS, USCG, and CBP customer.
  • Organize Insitu’s participation in relevant trade shows and exhibitions.


Requirements:


  • Must reside in the National Capital Region and within routine commuting distance of DHS Headquarters, USCG Headquarters, and CBP Headquarters.
  • Experience with DHS, USCG, or CBP UAS operations is a plus.
  • Experience aboard USCG National Security Cutters (NSC) and/or Fast Response Cutters (FRC) is a plus.
  • 10 - 14 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8 - 12 years related experience with a Master's degree.
  • Able to gain and maintain a security clearance. Active security clearance a plus.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.


Compensation Range: 117,000.00 - 160,600.00
