Job Description
At Bosque Foods, our vision is to accelerate the world’s transition to an environmentally sustainable, equitable, and animal-free food system.


We are developing a fermentation platform that aims to revolutionize the way food is produced and consumed. Our technology leverages the power of fermentation to create sustainable and delicious meat and seafood alternatives, focusing on whole-cut center-of-plate products. With an initial focus on the food industry, we are committed to transforming the way food is grown, processed, and distributed.


As pioneers in this field, we are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Intern, based in New York City, to join our team immediately and be instrumental in establishing our presence within the industry.


Tasks


As a Business Development Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our growth and expansion within the food industry. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in structured outreach efforts to potential customers across various channels. You will be responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with potential clients, coordinating sample distribution, and working closely with our leadership team to report results and contribute to the development of our business strategy. This internship is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in business development and sales within a dynamic and fast-paced start-up environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct structured outreach to potential customers through various communication channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to generate leads and explore business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Assist in conducting market research to identify target customer segments and refine our customer acquisition strategy.
  • Maintain and update a database of potential clients, ensuring accurate and detailed records of interactions and progress.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of our business development and sales strategies.
  • Assist in coordinating sample distribution to potential customers, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up.
  • Support the team in preparing sales presentations, marketing collateral, and proposals as needed.
  • Attend team meetings, contribute ideas and insights, and actively participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to report on outreach results, customer feedback, and market insights.


Requirements


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in business development or sales within the food industry or a novel food brand is a plus.
  • Strong interest in business development, sales, and the food industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with potential customers professionally and effectively.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly food alternatives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in GSuite, CRM Software. Experience with sales analytics tools is a plus.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or MBA degree program in business, marketing, or a related field. Recent graduates are also welcome.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
