Job Description

Ballen Studios is looking for a full time Researcher (Bilingual - Japanese OR Mandarin OR Cantonese and English) This individual would be someone with an extensive background in designing, planning, and executing research projects.

Description

Qualifications:

  • Must be extremely internet savvy, including on sites like Feedly, Alerts, Medium, 4chan, etc.
  • Associate degree or comparable work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams.
  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role, and in-depth knowledge in designing, planning, and executing research projects.
  • Must be fluent (speak/read/write) in Japanese OR Mandarin OR Cantonese and English.
  • Must have unrestricted access to Japanese OR Mandarin OR Cantonese internet content and websites.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with writers to determine research focus for each topic.
  • Provide & write two research packets per week
  • Translate and format news articles and related documents from Japanese OR Mandarin OR Cantonese to English.
  • Provide research support for Lead Writer, Lead Researcher, and Production Team.
  • Coordinate with other researchers to sort and assess topics.
  • Aggregate topics for both Audio & Digital Production
  • Research relative content material across all Ballen Studios talent.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, relevant news stories, best practices, search engine optimization, and education to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the production teams to align content with the overall content strategy and business objectives.
  • Adhere to content guidelines, style guides, and production calendars to ensure timely delivery of content.


This is a contracted position with an opportunity of employment. (We do not sponsor Visas. International candidates may apply to work as a contractor.)
