The role at a glance:
We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking HR Generalist for our K-12 working in a remote capacity. This a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven HR Professional looking to help a maturing organization through some very key HR Initiatives. Reporting directly to the HR Segment Leader, you can look forward to collaborating and supporting business leaders and team members across the segment. As a partner to the business you will provide ethical HR advice and council to coach, navigate and resolve employee relation issues. You’ll need to be strategic and organized in nature as the HR Generalist will also drive assigned HR projects. If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you apply!
What you'll be doing:
- Recognize potential employee relations matters and investigates end to end.
- Identify opportunities for leadership and field staff training.
- Establishes and maintain relationships of trust to foster transparency, open and honest two-way communication and collaboration.
- Partner with leaders, team members and key stakeholders to provide key HR advice and counsel to coach, navigate and resolve employee relation issues.
- Exchange knowledge and work closely with operators to align thinking, deliver solutions and optimize processes.
- Organize and drive assigned projects
- Work with leadership team in identifying root causes of issues and opportunities to mitigate risks and drive strategic outcomes.
- Champion HR programs, practices and policies with the overall objective of maintaining and nurturing a strong, people focused culture.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience; a plus.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience supporting the Contract Services or the Food Service Management Industries
- HR Certification such as SPHR, PHR.
- Preferred location in NY as that is a high account area.
