Position Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: COS
TEMP-TO-PERM
Part Time: (25 hours per week)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Human Resource Generalist will play a vital role in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple HR tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
They will perform daily Human Resource (HR) functions such as recruitment, benefits, and leave, and implementing and managing company policies and practices. This includes administering HR programs relative to performance and talent management.
Responsibilities
Employee lifecycle to include Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Ensure smooth offboarding of employees, coordinating with operations to terminate access, processing final pay, reviewing benefit information and assisting with any other documentation related to termination of employment.
- Refine and craft job descriptions and MOCHA charts in collaboration with departmental managers and develop a full understanding of skills and competencies required for openings.
- Verify employment eligibility, conduct reference and/or background checks
- Recommend salary for the new hire based on experience and internal equity
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and coordinate interviews.
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary terminations and provide quarterly reports to the executive team on trends and data analysis for turnover.
- Manage employment-related inquiries from staff and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and facilitating the completion of necessary paperwork.
Spearhead a growth-focused performance appraisal process, including conducting goal setting, mid-year and/or end-of-year reviews
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits
- Assist employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment, and changes, ensuring accurate and timely communication with benefit providers and Converge’s benefit broker
HR Policies and Compliance:
- Maintain and periodically update policies in compliance with industry best practices, labor regulations, and employment law, and ensuring employee awareness of those policies
- Anticipate and mitigate legal liability and litigation risks
- Maintain organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices including occupational health and safety; review policies and practices to maintain compliance; serves as point of contact for employment relations and state labor departments
- Establish policies and maintain and report on workplace health and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Remain abreast of trends, best practices, legal and regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment
- Implement processes in order to maintain employee and workplace privacy
Education/Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required (or equivalent experience)
- At least three (3) years of human resource management experience
Bonus Points If You Have
- At least five (5) years of human resource management experience
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM-CP, PHR

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships across the organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software
