Job description

As a DevOps Engineer, you are in charge of reliability, performance, and innovation for ARxChange’s Cloud Infrastructure. You are able to manage and communicate a technology’s complete life cycle. You are comfortable with Infrastructure as Code(IaC) scripting, and always consider when you should automate a task or make it self-serve. You enjoy being a consultant and working cross functionally.

This position will report to the IT Director, and work together to understand current dev ops work items, long term strategic projects, and high level IT priorities. On a day to day basis, they have responsibilities for daily development operations, sprint-based security review, as well opportunity to drive the long term direction and innovation of our platforms and infrastructure.

Position Responsibilities:

· Own availability, performance, and growth of ARxChange’s Cloud Infrastructure

· Responsible for consulting with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities.

· Developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery processes

· Serve as a subject matter expert for ARxChange’s cloud infrastructure implementation, performing design reviews and consulting with internal teams to ensure implementation best practices

· Build out monitoring tools and scripts to ensure your vertical is performing well and meeting SLOs with users.

· Responsible for large scale performance tuning and conducts performance improvement services that may include, performance gap analysis, root cause analysis, improvement and design considerations and recommendations.

· Lead upgrades and regular maintenance

· Serves in on-call rotation for cloud infrastructure specialty

· Create forecasting models for capacity planning, providing proactive growth for ARxChange’s infrastructure

· Ensures all cloud security measures are incorporated into infrastructure implementation

· Annual responsibility on SOC2 Security audit and review

· Ensures proper infrastructure resilience and proper inventory management and tagging

· Backup and Recovery design and implementation

· Build compliance, governance and oversight

Candidate Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree (or equivalent training and experience)

· Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows Administration and Engineering

· At least 3 years of current DevOps, Systems/Site/Production Engineering or Cloud Administration

· 2+ years Virtualization Administration Expertise (Docker preferred)

· Deep technical background of production operating systems; we use Windows Server, CentOS/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

· Experience managing regular server patching and security appliance maintenance

· Experience administrating AWS Cloud Infrastructure and VPCs

· Experience with edge routing technologies such as load balancers in AWS and outside, DNS (Bind9, Route53, CoreDNS), geo load balancing with AWS and DNS.

· Experience with common infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible

· Background with automation using Python, Ruby or .NET

· Experience with Healthcare and/or Financial IT preferred

· Ability and desire to work remotely

· Strong verbal and written communication skills
