We're partnered with a leading AWS Consulting firm who specialize in Security & Privacy consulting exclusively for the AWS Cloud. As an industry leader, the business provide innovative solutions, best practices, and expertise to ensure the highest level of security for their clients and they are currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer with a focus on Risk & Compliance to join the team.

You will play a vital role in our consulting services, providing expert guidance on security and compliance requirements in the AWS Cloud. You will work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and develop comprehensive security strategies and controls. Your deep knowledge of AWS security services and compliance frameworks will be essential in helping our clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and maintain a secure cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS security services, features, and best practices, and share this knowledge with the team and clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of AWS environments, identifying potential threats and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement security solutions that align with industry best practices and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their security and compliance needs in the AWS Cloud.
• Configure and monitor AWS security services, such as AWS IAM, AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Security Hub.
• Collaborate with the wider team to contribute to the development of security methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the ongoing protection of client data in the cloud.
• Provide guidance and support during security audits and compliance assessments.

Qualifications:

• Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits in cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
• Familiarity with security-related AWS services, such as AWS KMS, AWS WAF, AWS Secrets Manager, and AWS S3 encryption.
• Extensive experience working with AWS Cloud security services, including AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Security Hub, and AWS GuardDuty.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
