AVP, Assistant Treasury Manager

The Bank of East Asia, Limited, New York Branch is currently seeking an AVP, Assistant Treasury Manager to join its Treasury Team in New York NY.

About the role:

The Assistant Treasury Manager Support Treasury funding, securities transactions, treasury reporting and to assist in the daily operations of the Treasury Department.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare money market and foreign exchange tickets and input the same to accounting system
• Monitor regulatory requirements (AMR, OCC & FDIC collateral balance) on a daily basis
• Measure and monitor all limits set forth by Head Office such as broker’s cd limits, brokered deposits limits, interbank and head office borrowing, HQLA and NOF
• Any other duties as assigned by treasury manager.
• Assist in updating treasury policy and appendixes as required
• Data analysis for assets and liabilities, market risk position and report the same to management on a daily basis
• Assist in purchase of T-bills, FRNs, & MBSs when necessary
• Assist in weekly securities valuation and yield calculation
• Reconcile foreign currency blotter against current Nostro position on a daily basis
• Submit MM rollovers and new funding instructions to BEAHK
• Distribute Bloomberg market rates to designated departments such as SOFR projection, money market and foreign exchange rates
• Ensure all FI due diligence account documents are current such as AML questionnaires, AML certificates, US Patriot Act Certificates, W8/W9 tax forms etc.
• Preparing monthly ALRMCO minute and material for meeting
• Submit monthly synthetic loan testing to Accounting via Bloomberg
• Borrow money market fund from interbank for funding purpose
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
• Coordinate with operations department for issuance of certificate deposits and delivery
• Analysis of liquidity positions and funding cost on a daily basis
• Submit treasury reports to management and Head Office on a timely fashion
• Assist in project management including but not limited to UAT testing, implementation, QC analysis and production release
• Monitor and manage daily cash position for BONY, FED and HSBC accounts
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
• Manage the savings account of Cathay Bank and East West Bank for CRA purpose
• Report daily IRS valuation to Head Office and designated departments

Education and Experience:

• Two to five years related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, major in Finance or Business preferred; or
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
