Job Description
Wheels Up is excited to announce our partnership with ATP USA, Inc, and the roll out of the new Pilot Recruitment Agreement (PRA). The PRA allows Wheels Up to access ATP’s selected pool of flight instructors for an opportunity to interview for Wheels Up’s Core Fleet as a Second in Command (SIC) for the chance to receive a Contingent Offer of Employment (COE)
Wheels Up has immediate opportunities for ATP pilots to interview for a First Officer Position within our Home-based Core Fleet!
Wheels Up services include Private Membership, Aircraft Management, Maintenance, FBO services, Charter Operations, and Aircraft sales. The wage range for this position is $70,000 to $120,000. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
Wheels Up also offers a full range of healthcare (medical, dental, vision, mental health), a generous 401k plan, financial, and other benefits, including pet, life and disability insurance and paid time off. New hires in this position will receive 140 hours of paid time off per year for the first four years of employment, which is prorated for the first year based on their date of hire. Thereafter, employees will accrue paid time off in accordance with the company’s applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Minimums:
  • 75 Instrument
  • 250 PIC
  • 1st Class Medical
  • Eligible for CANPASS
  • 25 ME
  • Commercial ME
  • 1200 hours TT
Standards:
  • 1000 PIC
  • 1st Class Medical
  • 2500 hours TT
  • ATP
  • Eligible for CANPASS
  • Valid US Passport without restrictions for travel to Mexico and Canada
  • 500 ME Turbine
Minimum Requirements for ATP pilots:
  • 1,000 hours TT
  • 25 ME
  • 1st Class Medical
  • Eligible for CANPASS

To take advantage of this opportunity, ATP candidates must be recommended by a member of ATP’s Management and possess a minimum of 1000 hours total time (TT) and 25 hours multi engine (ME). After successful completion of a Wheels Up interview, pilots will be given a COE contingent on continued adherence with the COE. Wheels Up’s COE is conditioned on the pilot meeting all of Wheels Up’s standard new hire corporate pre-employment and employment provisions, including but not limited to background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records check, logbook check and fingerprint submission. Upon reaching 1200 hours and meeting experience requirements, pilots will be hired by Wheels Up as SIC pilots.
Additional Program Requirements
  • Pilots with one documented compliance failure of policy, procedure, or technical data in the past 12 months will be disqualified from the program.
  • Excessive absences, defined as more than 2 unexcused absences in a 12-month period, shall be a disqualifying event from the program.
  • Pilots with 2 or more documented compliance failures of policy, procedure, or technical data in the last 3 years of active service will be disqualified.
ATP will ensure pilots demonstrate professionalism consistent with becoming a good employee for Wheels Up. Wheels Up will review disciplinary records on a regular basis. Pilots with disciplinary records active in their personnel file will be excluded from the Program.

This is a part 135 position that will require the successful candidate to work as a team in a crew environment. The successful candidate will be safety oriented and possess strong leadership skills, as well as have a strong Entrepreneurial/Ownership focus.
