Classification Title: Administrative Support Coordinator I
Classification Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508 per month
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $3,505 - $3,700 per month.
The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

About the Department/Position:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics and in coordination with the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, the Athletics Facilities & Events Coordinator will organize intercollegiate athletics' facilities scheduling and maintenance; and assist with game operations for all home contests and special events. Duties include, but not limited to: gameday setup and teardown, guiding student-workers with in-game duties, assist with ticket operations, and operate within the scope and intent of the NCAA, CCAA and CSUDH regulations.
In addition to the scheduling and maintenance of facilities, the successful candidate will prepare and maintain the facilities schedule for all athletic venues and activities, athletic practice times, and resolve scheduling conflicts as necessary. Physically inspect all athletic facilities on a regular basis to evaluate and report maintenance needs. Facilitate communication and serve as Athletics' principal liaison to Facility Services, campus special interest groups such as Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and the California Academy of Mathematics and Science School (CAMS), and outside contractors. Serve as a liaison to the Procurement office regarding rental agreements on- and off-campus entities. Assist with the schedule and coordination of student employees to work assigned duties. Coordinate the scheduling and maintenance of Athletics' 12-passenger vehicles for department and University use.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of related office work experience.
- Valid driver's license
- Education: High school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skill in proficiency in the use of computerized office systems and software programs that perform word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
- Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices - records management practices - standard and computerized office systems and equipment
- Abilities to Coordinate administrative support tasks for fast-paced office, prioritize work/projects on deadlines and complete accordingly - prepare correspondence, charts, and statistical outlines using computerized systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Schedule and distribute work assignments due to shifts in priorities to ensure accuracy- maintain complex records and files
- Answer telephones and assist callers and visitors with desired information and refer to appropriate departments as needed
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others.
- Perform arithmetic computations accurately
- Facilities leasing and athletics experience.
- Experience using EMS reservation system.
- Learn, independently interpret, and apply a wide variety of complex policies, procedures, and operations of the department as they relate to an academic environment
- Read and write at a level appropriate for the duties of the position
- Correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Ability to prepare formal business letters, memos, and reports.
- At least two years of experience in college athletics.
- Interact with a variety of clients on- and off-campus and handle the stress of a busy office
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in sports management or a related field; or equivalent experience.
