Athletics Facilities And Events Coordinator Jobs

One year of related experience which includes personnel management.

Ability to participate in facility/event management; work schedule days/hours vary.

Manage the athletics department’s relationship with University Physical Plant, specifically the Building Services Attendants.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and ability to learn and use various software applications necessary to perform the job duties.

Certifications Required or able to obtain with in the first six months: CPR/First Aid.

The final candidate will undergo a background check as a conditional offer of employment.

Serve as the secondary event manager for Duke Football as assigned by Assistant AD.

Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Assist with game day operations for additional varsity sports, as assigned by Assistant AD.

Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD or Deputy AD to support career goals and other office staff as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Create and implement Game day management plans and policies

Responsible to meet with head coaches and department managers to identify facility needs

Serves as a game manager for various home competitions.

Assist with development of budget requests and manage facilities and operations budgets

Supervise and manage the Coordinator of Athletic Operations position

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

100% On-line Teaching model, minimal to no classroom discipline and management for teachers and staff.

Bachelor’s Degree in education or another related field required

Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices - records management practices - standard and computerized office systems and equipment

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in sports management or a related field; or equivalent experience.

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Education: High school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents

Experience: 3 years of related office work experience.

Skill in proficiency in the use of computerized office systems and software programs that perform word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Knowledge of youth and adult athletic programs and activities.

Knowledge of the principles of safety and basic first aid and CPR procedures.

Knowledge of athletics competition rules and tournaments.

Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge to perform job functions of subordinate staff.

Skilled in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office applications.

Skilled at exercising considerable initiative, fostering collaboration and teamwork, and demonstrating creativity and innovation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Learn and utilize Veracross data management system for data related to Athletics

Manage all events on evenings and weekends

Learn and assist with all ILH and `Iolani Athletic Department requirements

Must have working knowledge and appreciation for all `Iolani School athletic teams

Must have or acquire a CDL certification/license
