Associate Energy Engineers assist in the development of construction ready projects related to energy and operational savings. This begins with analysis of operational expenditures and identifying areas of improvement that contribute to a reduction in operational costs.

As an Associate Energy Engineer, you will:

• Perform energy savings calculations, making educated assumptions when applicable and using / interpreting data gathered from the field to estimate savings.
• Perform Utility Data Analysis by entering utility billing information, understanding the information contained on the bills, and having the ability to analyze this information vs. accepted standards.
• Engage in other related responsibilities where necessary.
• Develop design concepts and other written technical documentation to sales, management, and funding agency’s concerning recommended FIMs, including accurate descriptions, savings potential, and back up data to verify FIMs.
• Work under the supervision of a senior engineer(s) to perform all aspects of project development.
• Perform facility audits to identify facility improvement measures (FIMs). Participate in facility site visits using observational skills to collect required data to perform engineering calculations and build equipment lists. Analyzes drawings /blueprints in conjunction with site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and control systems and determine facility operational characteristics and potential FIMs to be investigated.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to travel 20% and perform all aspects necessary for field audits,
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical field.
• Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Possess Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment or related coursework.
• Knowledgeable in performing energy audits.
• Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.

You’ll benefit from:

• The pay range for this position is$58,500 - $100,400. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
