As an important member of the Field Effectiveness team, the Associate Director of Field Sales Operations will be responsible to support the Sales Leadership team in achieving key business objectives and sales operations support. Key job duties include planning, coordinating, and managing sales team operational support, escalation point for sales team operational needs, and serves as business liaison to Sales, Marketing and Operational functions in the implementation of new initiatives and ongoing support of the sales team to ensure field adoption and performance.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and manage processes to streamline workflow, adapts to continuous changes, prioritizes tasks, and stays ahead of the planning process.
  • Lead or co-lead special initiatives and projects to drive key business results (through strong project planning and management)This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager.
  • Support Head of Sales/RDs with weekly/monthly sales leadership calls, implementation of field initiatives, communication of field force performance, contest rollout, IC attestation/training, vacancy management, compliance, sample management, etc.
  • Proactively monitor business performance and execution; identify is-sues/opportunities and recommend solutions/course correction tactics as needed
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment across field leadership in implementing and tracking field-driven initiatives
  • Deliver franchise-specific communications as it relates to field personnel guidance, policy changes, sales operations tasks, sales bulletins, etc. as determined by franchise sales leadership.
  • Work with key business partners across functions to ensure appropriate support levels
  • Assist in coordination and support the field force in the execution of projects related to sales operations such as targeting updates / CP&T, sales reporting platforms, and logistic coordination of Regional/National Sales Meetings including launch meetings and business review meetings
  • Serve as escalation point from field sales teams, if the designated help desk/field inquiry process is not satisfying field needs and agreed turn-around-times, or common field issues are identified that needs resolution by Comm Ops/other delivery teams.
  • Serve as liaison to the operational functional delivery teams for escalation of support needs, new projects, or new process recommendations to ensure field satisfaction and performance for the franchise.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,00 and $216,000 year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Demonstrates strong competencies and experience in operations, execution and project management
  • 5+ years plus of pharmaceutical commercial sales related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
Preferred requirements:
  • Knowledge of internal organizational process and procedures
  • Proven track record of developing and managing multiple tasks
  • Uses diverse and varied approaches to persuade, negotiate and influence operational decisions
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnosis business issues and incorporate into development or adjustment of strategies, plans and tactics to achieve business objectives
  • 2+ years sales management experience
  • Experienced in establishing and cultivating relationships; able to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and partners across the organization
  • Excellent business/commercial acumen needed; demonstrates ability to self-start, initiate and to deal with ambiguities
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and in a team structure; maintain strong cross-functional ties with key business partners
