UnspecifiedThis position provides the opportunity to gain experience working with customers and across multiple disciplines with Collins Aerospace. Candidates will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction metrics. A successful candidate will develop strong customer relationships and manage the customer satisfaction metrics for the assigned customers. They will utilize a network of operations, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering resources to evaluate all of our Strategic Business Units products and processes, analyze root causes of deficiencies and ensures proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner. They will participate in cross-functional team efforts to make improvements to the products and processes ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to the customer.
This position requires the ability to develop relationships with customers, program/contract management and various support groups to ensure timely responses to issues requiring corrective action or impacting customer satisfaction. An ability to interpret customer requirements and assess Collins Aerospace ability to satisfy them with our current Quality Management System.
This individual will work 100% remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Foster relationships and partner with Collins’ Customer Quality organizations, SBUs/Programs, and C&AM
- Ensures that the quality of Collins Aerospace products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving.
- Establish and report Collins’ level customer quality metrics for internal and external use
- Enable interaction and exchange of best practices and enhance sharing of lessons learned across Collins
- Sets direction and leads resources to ensure continuous customer satisfaction through quality improvement
- Directs collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs
- Serve as a Voice of the Customer - ensure customer concerns are addressed within Collins
- Develops and supports organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving
- Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis
- Provides guidance across the organization in the implementation of plans and procedures that drive achievement of Quality goals
- Develops and implements program quality plans.
- Analyze new field event data, design changes and Quality notices to determine the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
- Align and provide enterprise-wide performance for key customers
- Must be able to travel up to 25% domestic and international.
- Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
- Analyze and report metrics monthly
- Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Directs development of plans to ensure the achievement of customer quality targets
- Quality tools/Zero Defect Plan™ (ZDP™) training, facilitation, and execution for key customers
- Responsible for the coordination of product recall recommendations and actions by identifying the impacts of the problem
- Focal point for enterprise communication of common customer strategies and messaging to internal and external stakeholders
- Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.
- Provide quality discipline subject matter expertise, continuous improvement, non-advocacy and other support as needed across the organization.
- Engagement in significant Quality escape investigations to ensure containment and robust closure of corrective actions
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
