Job Summary
The Director of Quality Control will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization’s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization
Duties/Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Directs and oversees the quality control department and supervisory staff.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Works with the Division VP’s and Department Managers to develop and implement an overall Quality Management System consistent with our corporate objectives.
· Works with the Project Managers to prepare and implement project management plans and procedures to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
· Develops and implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
· Ensures effective implementation and coordination of design control, verification, validation, and review activities based on an effective risk-based assessment program.
· Implements an effective vendor surveillance program.
· Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.
· Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
· Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.
· Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills

- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of project execution associated with capital projects in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
- BA or BS degree in related field.
- 15-20 years’ relevant work experience, with 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs typically associated with an industrial facility while carrying relevant inspection related equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and printer.
Safety
- Take part in and support HSE initiatives
- Actively participate in the CTCI safety program by correcting or reporting unsafe acts and/or conditions
- Follow all company and client operating procedures, standards, policies, and training to ensure safe and efficient operation on the site.
