Summary: Assistant Regional Property Manager - Full-time
As an Assistant Regional Property Manager, you will support the regional property management team in overseeing a portfolio of properties within a specific geographic area. You will work closely with the Regional Property Manager to ensure the efficient operation and financial success of the properties, while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Property Manager in the day-to-day management and operations of the assigned portfolio of properties.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of property budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for property repairs, maintenance, and renovations.
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests, ensuring excellent customer service and tenant satisfaction.
- Assist in the leasing process, including showing vacant units, screening potential tenants, and preparing lease agreements.
- Monitor rent collection and follow up on delinquent accounts, working closely with the accounting department.
- Assist in the coordination of property marketing initiatives, including advertising vacancies and organizing promotional events.
- Collaborate with the regional team to develop and implement property management policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to property management activities.
- Stay updated on local market trends, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of regular reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants, property owners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in property management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of local rental laws, fair housing regulations, and lease agreements.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
