About Fair Observer


Fair Observer is an independent, nonprofit media organization that engages in citizen journalism and civic education. It publishes more than 2,500 authors from 90 countries, cutting across borders, backgrounds and beliefs. Some of them are former prime ministers, former diplomats and retired intelligence officers. Others are young people from around the world. Anyone can publish with us but everyone goes through the same fact-checking and a rigorous editorial process.



The assistant events coordinator, you will coordinate both online and in-person events for Fair Observer. These include FO° Meetups, FO° Talks, FO° Live and more. Please take a look at https://www.fairobserver.com/events/ to get an idea of the events we organize.


Responsibilities


As Assistant Events Coordinator, you will:


  • Invite guests
  • Attend team meetings
  • Follow Fair Observer’s editorial guidelines
  • Notify senior team members of the progress you make and when you finish tasks
  • Research speedily and efficiently
  • Meet tight deadlines
