Assistant Editor, Performance Marketing

We are looking for an Assistant Editor to join our team, in our brand-new studios in North Hollywood. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter eager to streamline and innovate production and post-production workflows.

*This role will be onsite Mon-Fri in our North Hollywood headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Syncing audio and footage in Premiere Pro
• Relinking assets in project files as needed
• Assist with small tasks (plugging in hard drives or copying footage) for other departments as needed
• Transfer footage from shoots to the server
• Acting as a liaison between Production and Post Production workflows
• Organizing and transferring client assets to the server
• Help troubleshoot and communicate technical issues to Post Production management team as soon as they come up
• Working with a variety of camera formats such as RED, Blackmagic, DSLR, and iPhone
• Creating stringouts and selects for production assets
• Adapting to evolving workflows based on the nature of the footage received. This may include:
• Maintaining the organization of the server
• Updating asset manager (Monday) boards with links to assets
• Adding LUTs and managing color assets
• Creating proxies

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
• Interest in Social Media ads is a plus
• DIT experience is a plus
• Knowledge of proxy workflow a plus
• Understand Premiere Pro editing workflow
• Basic color correcting in Lumetri panel is a plus
• Experience working with a variety of different video codecs and file types
• Basic knowledge of After Effects (able to open a project, relink assets or change the text within After Effects)
• Very organized with attention to details
