Area Manager essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:


  • Understands community and medical staffing needs and establishes goals for recruitment that meet these needs
  • Works directly with Branch Directors/Staffing Managers in their territory to hire, train and direct staff in all areas to accomplish goals and maintain compliance with regulations and policies and procedures
  • Delegates responsibility to administrative and supervisory personnel to insure effective programs
  • Actively seeks opportunities for growth of existing offices and investigates areas of possible expansion
  • Performs screening and first and/or second interviews for office personnel and participates in and/or makes arrangements for training of all new personnel
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring a recruitment plan for each business unit to insure a steady pipeline of applicants, to include implementing tracking tools and dividing responsibilities to insure that business until goals are met
  • Performs sales calls to existing and potential clients
  • Monitors the fiscal aspects of the agency including making credit decisions, participating in collection activities, developing an annual agency budget and planning for capital expenditures
  • Actively seeks new business opportunities by responding to RFPs
  • Negotiates contracts and agreements for providing services
  • Implements policies developed by the Board of Directors while maintaining a liaison between the Board and staff
  • Plans business strategy
  • Develops sales programs to promote and develop the various service lines that the agency offers and performs sales with Branch Directors/Staffing Managers
  • Organizes and directs office functions as standing Branch Manager for office they are based out of while working with Branch Manager/Staffing Managers of offices in their assigned territory
  • Manages and reports on fiscal matters (budgets, cost determination and control, collections)
  • Performs operational analysis on all offices on routine and on-going basis
  • Assisting Branch Director/Staffing Manager with training, supervising and evaluating existing client service personnel
  • Recommends policies, programs and budgets for Board approval


To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:


  • Communicate effectively with health system personnel at all levels
  • Previous recruiting, staffing, sales and management experience
  • Be able to read and understand a profit/loss statement
  • Travel is required to assigned branch territories
  • Proven track record of success in the healthcare staffing industry
  • Effectively manage accounts receivable
  • Understand the business dynamics of health care systems
  • Effectively manage sales budget
  • Be able to train and manage personnel


Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) from Four-year College or university: or a minimum of two years experience in direct sales of services in health care administration, home health care administration or health related programs and a minimum of two years experience in an administrative position in the staffing and/or home health care field.
  • Minimum of one year of training and experience in health services administration, home health care administration, or health related programs or equivalent combination of education and experience. Administrative experience must emphasize problem solving.


Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/yr PLUS BONUS POTENTIAL
