POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide leadership to District Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to drive sales growth, increase market penetration and recruitment of new dealers in the assigned region. Continually develop field sales team with relevant problem-solving and communication skills. Ensure sales teams execute business plans in order to achieve goals. This position will cover all of Texas, Western Kansas, Western Nebraska, Colorado and New Mexico
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work closely with the District Sales Manager and Dealer Development Manager to ensure dealer sales volume and recruitment numbers are met
• Champion company decisions and communications
• Assist the District Sales Managers in successfully completing business plans
• Develop and actively implement an annual budget for the region and achieve sales targets for areas of responsibility, including building a sales forecast and sales reports, budget presentation and reporting
• Responsible for show plots in coordination with local agronomist
• Lead District Sales Managers within an assigned district. Provide timely and effective feedback as it relates to budget creation, strategy, goals, and tasks. Set direction, assess, motivate, develop, and create a diverse and inclusive environment
• Project a positive image of represented Brand and AgReliant Genetics and act as a role model for Company Core Values
• Track competitor sales and marketing programs and advise commercial sales management
• Work closely with Customer Service concerning product availability, shipment, and deliveries
• Coach and develop team to improve specific competencies, skills, as it relates to effective selling techniques, product & agronomic knowledge, and use of digital agriculture tools
• Identify Key Accounts in the region with the assistance of the Key Account Manager and Marketing department
• Actively develop and implement a Key Account Strategy in the region in coordination with the Key Account Manager and the Division Sales Leader
• Other duties as assigned
• Assume the lead role for any farm shows held in the region in coordination with the marketing department
• Select great people through recruiting, hiring for District Sales Managers and intern roles
• Act as a member of the AgReliant Sales Leadership Team, which includes short and long-term strategic planning and implementation of the brands marketing plan

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Agronomy or related field preferred
• Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) preferred
• Experience working in the seed industry
• Minimum of seven (7) years of sales experience sales/account management experience or 5 or more years of sales experience working in agriculture

KNOWLEDE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of the seed industry preferred
• Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Financial, time, and territory management abilities
• Excellent leadership, people management, and relationship/team building skills
• Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and results orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work required hours and travel as necessary, some overnight travel required
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements
