Job Description
Job Overview


The RM&A organization is part of the Commercial team that supports clients across Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage, and all other lines of business in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning and forecasting, pricing, promotions, and optimization using mathematical and statistical techniques.


Candidates will have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including advanced excel modeling, Tableau, and SQL experience. The candidate will have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize, and be a team player in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Predictive Analytics – Leverage mathematical and statistical techniques along with historical data to drive insights to determine continuous improvement opportunities and develop predictive demand and revenue models
  • Data Visualization – Leverage data visualization techniques, tools, and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance, decision-making, and execution by business partners and senior executives
  • Business Optimization – Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of commercial decisions, and develop science-based approaches to inform and drive long-term strategic direction
  • Partner Collaboration – Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing, Consumer Insights (CIMA), Legal, and Sales to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, and identify impacts of strategic opportunities


Basic Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills
  • Proficiency in acquiring, organizing, cleansing, and manipulating large amounts of data, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability of one or more technical themes (R, SQL, Tableau, python, etc)
  • Demonstrated exceptional sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields
  • Demonstrated familiarity with statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting
  • Three plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development
  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields


The pay range for this position in California is $84,600.00 to $103,400.00 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.”
