Your New Role


Warner Bros. Discovery’s Office of the CIO department is seeking a talented M&A technology professional to join the Technology Business Solutions team. This team is responsible for strategy, technology internal consulting, and M&A. The M&A pillar focuses on all aspects of M&A transactions from due diligence, comprehensive technology integration plans development, Day 1 readiness, and leading complex tech integration and divestiture separation through collaboration and practical M&A experience. We work closely with senior leadership and technology subject matter experts to achieve maximum value on deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges.


This position will report to the Director, Technology M&A Integration who is responsible for the M&A deal pipeline for technology integration strategy, technology due diligence, and pre- and post-acquisition scoping and integration activities. You will work closely with Integration Management Office (IMO), internal cross-functional IT teams, acquired company representatives, senior executives, and corporate development teams in evaluating potential target companies, and development / implementation of IT integration plans.


Your Role Accountabilities


  • Influences without authority and builds strong rapport with stakeholders inside and outside of technology teams to deliver results
  • Collaborate with PMO and Execution teams to actively identify and manage risks / roadblocks, and compile monthly status reports
  • Provide internal consulting support as needed
  • Be an organizational connector to work seamlessly across organizational boundaries with a strong collaboration-first mindset
  • Proactively identify areas for improvements throughout the deal lifecycle and build-out repeatable process strategy and toolsets (e.g., playbook, process flow) that incorporate prior experience and industry leading practices
  • Assist in developing high level technology integration plans and technology investment business case
  • Assist in performing technology due diligence, identifying / assessing potential technology and business risks, and developing integration cost model / TSA
  • Support the Director, M&A Integration on multiple domestic and international M&A integration / divestiture separation, from due diligence through post-close value capture


Qualifications & Experiences


  • Knowledge of end-to-end M&A lifecycle is preferred but not required
  • Solid business acumen and comfortable around basic financial analysis
  • Working knowledge on two or more IT domains (e.g., broadcast technology, ERP / business systems, network / cloud / storage / server infrastructure, and information security)
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex data sets to synthesize relevant recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to: be a team player and a self-starter who thinks strategically and tactically, pay strong attention to detail while seeing the big picture, work with a moderate degree of ambiguity or partial information, develop audience appropriate messages, navigate a complex global organization hierarchy for collaboration and information gathering, have strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, develop customer-ready reports with limited supervision and work in a hybrid work environment (office / remote)
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in management consulting, or IT PMO
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., monday.com / Smartsheet) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI / Tableau)
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or Finance
