Job Description
NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of the leading ceramic technology company NGK Insulators, Ltd., located in Nagoya, Japan. NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. directly supports and supplies all major automobile and heavy duty diesel manufacturers with high-performance precision ceramic components for diesel and gasoline engine emission control systems.


NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. is currently seeking an entry-level detailed oriented Administrative Coordinator for our Novi, MI office. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the business and is a highly visible position within the organization. The selected candidate will perform tasks associated with the administration and accounting departments. Fit with the company culture is most important and we will train the right candidate. Essential Functions


  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Must be able to communicate and offer opinion to all levels of the organization as well as vendors and customers.
  • Performs related and other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving and invoicing of inventory as well as other purchased goods and services.
  • Processes account payables and expense reports in Epicor system.
  • Schedule and coordinate travel itineraries for staff and visitors.
  • Responsible for coordinating and completing off-site company business.
  • Analyzes administrative procedures and recommends reasonable system modifications and improvements to supervisor.
  • Responsible for coordinating all company events with HR. (Summer, Holiday and Teambuilding)
  • Coordinates and participates in conferences and various meetings.
  • Responsible for greeting visitors in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Preparing letters, documents, databases and presentations as well as compiling information for management.
  • Collaborates with Accounting Supervisor to completes Accounts Payable Administrative duties.
  • Data-entry and other tasks for any department when needed.
  • Manage company vehicle fleet.
  • Receptionist duties as necessary
  • Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of current administrative systems and procedures.


Qualifications


Education: Appropriate experience or currently working toward a degree or Associates degree in business (Accounting, Finance, etc.) will be considered.


Experience: 1-2 years of administrative work experience in a business environment. Accounting or Accounts Payable experience a plus.


Skills/Aptitude:


  • Task oriented with strong sense of priority and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Accountable for individual goals as well as have the ability to work in a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver and receive positive and negative feedback in a professional manner.
