Job Description
Position Summary
Perform administrative support and reception services for the Department to contribute to its effective and efficient administration. Reports to Finance Manager and has no supervisory authority. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following examples of duties and accountabilities illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to the position but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position. Employee must comply with all County and department policies, procedures, WAC"s, or other regulatory bodies.
Welcomes and assists visitors with front counter transactions such as purchases of plans or assists in applying for permits as well as processing over width/weight permits, plat reviews and project plans.
Answers and routes phone calls; Maintains social media platforms.
Picks up, sorts, and distributes all incoming mail; collects and process outgoing mail.
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
Provides clerical, administrative support and assistance to the Public Works Senior Leadership by drafting correspondence, legal publication requests, invoices, reports, and other documents for leadership staff.
Coordinates and schedules meetings, agendas, hearings, appointments and travel for leadership, managers and /or supervisors.
Collects, inputs, and maintains Pits and Quarries inventory and rock purchase.
Assigns reimbursable numbers for all reimbursable construction and road repairs.
Allocate mileage for motor pool and fuel key replacement software.
Performs data entry of information into data bases; maintains databases; filing systems, and ordering supplies.
Delivers deposits to the Treasury Department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licensing

Required:
High School Diploma or GED;
At least 18 years of age or older;
Personal computer operation; word processing and database software; effective customer relations; office procedures.
Combination of experience and training, which would include at least two years" experience in office procedures or a combination of education and experience providing the requisite skills of the job. Because of the assignment to pick up mail, incumbents may be required to drive a passenger vehicle and.
Valid Driver"s License with proof of automobile insurance.
Background Check: Must have an acceptable background record.
General understanding of Public Works procedures and operations
Type at least 50 words per minute
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently required.
Ability to work in a stressful, fast paced, interrupted environment.

1. Experience in Public Sector Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office. A majority of time is spent sitting at a workstation with personal computer, but incumbents stand and assist customers at a counter, move, organize and lift office supplied of moderate weight and may drive a passenger vehicle in various kinds of weather. The physical abilities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, write, hear, speak, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, go up and down a ladder and/or step stool to retrieve/file away files, and lift up and/or move up to 50 lbs. of unequal weight. The position requires the employee to stand and/or sit for 8+ hours per day, 5 days per week. Regular computer keyboard work is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
