Job Description

Academic Req: Required – High school diploma, or equivalent; Preferred – 2-year Associate degree from accredited program/institution, or two or more years of college-level course work
Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Work experience: Required – Two (2) plus years of related experience and/or training; Preferred – Four (2) plus years of related experience and/or training
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
  • Oversee the maintenance of on-site personnel records in a confidential manner.
  • Write general correspondence, memos, charts, etc.
  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
  • Proofread copy for spelling/grammar and layout to ensure accuracy and clarity of the final copy.
  • Maintain billing files and reconcile payments received before forwarding the information to the account department.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally by phone or face-to-face with agency staff, vendors, community members and regulatory and contract staff.
  • Accurately maintain employee monthly monitoring accountability reports.
  • Process requisitions and purchase orders on a timely basis and using agency systems created for this purpose.
  • Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by supervisor.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and team decisions and operations.
  • Manage some purchasing for the program as directed by the supervisor.
  • Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Collect, maintain, and retrieve Program's property inventory log.
  • Draft general correspondence, memos, charts, etc. and proof final copies for clarity, spelling, grammar, and layout.
  • Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program and federal partners.
  • Collect, maintain, and retrieve data from files as needed.
  • Complete program expenses via Web-Purchasing/Invoicing requisitions and Vista IntelliLink.
  • Completes administrative and documentation tasks related to staff hires, onboarding and departures from the agency.
  • Assist Regional Director or National Program Director in daily operations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to:
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
  • Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
  • Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
